How We Measure

Soft toys are carefully designed with great attention to their proportions, structure, and overall character, each one having its own distinctive personality and charm. Some designs feature taller, more slender figures that create a refined, upright appearance, while others have compact, rounded shapes, making them ideal for cuddling, carrying, or displaying in cozy spaces. Certain toys strike a perfect balance between firmness and softness, which helps them hold their shape while still providing a comforting, gentle feel. These variations in design can greatly influence how the toy looks and functions in daily life, so providing detailed size information is essential to help customers visualize how each piece will fit into their environment. By offering accurate measurements, customers can better understand how a toy will look in their hands, on a shelf, or as part of a collection.

To make it easier for customers to compare sizes, dimensions are presented in a standardized format, typically including height, width, and length. This consistent approach allows for clearer evaluation, even when the shapes and proportions of the toys differ widely. The use of a uniform measurement system reduces confusion and ensures that customers can have more accurate expectations about the scale and size of the toy.

In determining these measurements, decorative features such as ears, tails, whiskers, or antennae are typically excluded. These parts can be flexible or movable, meaning they can bend or shift, making them less reliable for precise sizing. Instead, the measurements focus on the toy’s main body, which provides a more stable and practical reference point. This is especially helpful for customers considering the toy’s placement in specific spaces, such as for storage, display, or everyday use.

For toys designed to sit upright or maintain a seated posture, height is measured from the highest point of the head down to the bottom of the feet. Width is taken from the widest part of the body when viewed from the back, and length refers to the depth of the toy from the front to the back along the torso. In some cases, an additional sitting height measurement is provided, which reflects the vertical distance from the top of the head to the base when the toy is seated, excluding the legs. This extra measurement is especially useful for determining how well the toy will fit on surfaces with height limitations, such as desks, shelves, or other compact spaces.

For toys intended to lie flat or rest in a horizontal position, the measurement approach is slightly adjusted to reflect their resting form. Height is determined by the highest point of the body when the toy is laid down, width is measured across the broadest section, and length extends from the front of the face or nose to the back of the body. In these cases, limbs and other flexible parts are generally excluded from the measurements to maintain consistency and accuracy.

For designs that include long arms, extended legs, or flexible appendages, such as tentacle-like features, height is measured from the top of the head to the lowest natural resting point without stretching or altering the material. Width and length continue to focus on the toy’s main body, and any sitting height measurement provided will apply only to the core form, excluding any extended elements.

These measurement guidelines are implemented to ensure clarity and consistency across all products. By adhering to a structured and uniform approach, customers are better equipped to understand the proportions of each toy and choose pieces that align with their preferences. Whether selecting a toy for decorative purposes, as part of a collection, or for everyday enjoyment, accurate sizing information helps ensure that each item fits appropriately into its intended space and provides a satisfying experience both in terms of appearance and function.
